Journalist/Part-time/Freelance

Looking for a journalist who can track down leads and develop human interest features that tell a story. Is that you? Can you also write direct mail, ad copy, marketing materials, or web site copy? If so, that’s a plus.



Exercise your writing and editing prowess working on our local news daily, and developing advertising material for age-restricted communities. MUST livein commuting distance from our Norfolk office.



Ideal candidate has 3+ years of direct experience, degree in journalism, some digital photography experience, meets all deadlines, works best independently, and brims with ambition. Strong consideration given to candidates who demonstrate a passion for investigative reporting. Candidates must also have experience writing for a gated community, retirement community, healthcare organization or in the hospitality industry.
